As an Erasmus student I really love Maxima. It's my go to option, it's the cheapest supermarket and has everything. Also they have amazing deals and from time to time you even get like cakes or 1kg of salads for less than 5€. If you are Spanish, Maxima = Mercadona so you are gonna love it

As a traveller, the supermarket is often the first place I go to fill my temporary pantry. Maxima in Vilnius didn't disappoint. I found everything I needed for a cosy dinner here, from fresh ingredients to small treats. But the real star for me was the cheese shelf. I generally get lost in the cheese selection in foreign supermarkets, and Maxima didn't let me down. A really good selection of local and international cheeses made me happy. The aisles were clean and well organised, which made browsing (and searching) very enjoyable. For travellers who want to self-cater and have a soft spot for the local range, Maxima is a great place to go.

We arrived late into Vilnius and was a bit peckish. This was the only place close to our hotel that was open. This place is massive with a large range of groceries and household items. I guess the name hypermarket fits the title perfectly. We were slightly overwhelmed with the size and we got what we wanted. Interesting the place was also filled with other shoppers, clearly a very popular shop. It was almost like the place to be late on a Saturday night. There cake section was amazing not seen such a large area dedicated only to cakes. The cashier was very polite. We will be back.

Nice modern shop. One of best Maxima in town. Both from variety of produce, some shops and restaurants inside. Big parking lot, but some part is payed. One has to beware of parking signs
